The penis lengthening procedure is performed in cases of micropenis, i.e. a penis smaller than 4 cm in the flaccid state and smaller than 7 cm when erect. The procedure can also be performed at larger dimensions when lengthening is desired.
The genital elongation (lengthening) operation is usually performed under general or spinal anaesthesia, which also depends on the tests carried out before the procedure.
At the base of the penis, a semicircular incision is made which, after the suspensory ligament of the penis is divided, is sutured in the shape of the Mercedes sign. The scar is located in the hair-covered area and is thus hidden.
After recovering from the anaesthesia, the patient goes home for home care. Rest is recommended for several days, along with abstaining from sexual intercourse and masturbation over the next few weeks. The sutures on the wound are self-resorbing.
In this way, a lengthening of 2-2.5 cm can be achieved.
If there is a desire for thickening, lipofilling is usually performed – filling the sheaths of the penis with the patients own fatty tissue. Since the body genetically recognises its own fat, part of it will be resorbed, but part will remain – namely the part that has connected to the capillary circulation. A top-up is usually performed after 3-4 months, which achieves a long-lasting result. The genitalia can be thickened by 4-5 mm in radius.
