The procedure removes irregularities, such as a nasal hump, and the nose is shortened and lifted as needed, thereby refreshing the face. If there is a deviation of the nasal septum, breathing problems can also be resolved as part of the procedure.
Before the operation it is necessary to carry out all the required tests, given that larger procedures are performed under general anaesthesia.
The operation lasts 1-2 hours. After recovering from the anaesthesia, patients are discharged for home care with a cast placed on the nose and tampons in the nostrils. The tampons are removed after 1-2 days, and the immobilisation is taken off the nose after one week.
