Laser removal of capillaries

Nowadays people increasingly resort to removing unwanted hair from particular parts of the body.

Laser hair removal  is a permanent solution to this problem.

There are 3 phases of hair growth: the growth phase, the regression phase and the resting phase. The laser beam can act on and destroy only hair in the growth phase, which is precisely why several treatments are needed in order to destroy all the hairs.

During the treatment the laser beam is brought into contact with the skin. As the beam passes through the skin it is mostly absorbed by melanin (the pigment found in the hair and the skin). The absorption causes strong heating and damage to the cells that produce the hair, if it is in the growth phase. The skin surface is cooled by a special device that blows cold air onto the treatment area, which makes this procedure painless.

For treating the face 5-6 treatments are needed, for the legs 3-4 treatments, etc. The treatments should be carried out at intervals of about 2 months.

Instructions before the treatment:

1. It is not advisable to pluck the hair for 2 weeks beforehand, only to shave
2. The day before the treatment you should shave the area where the epilation will be performed
3. It is not advisable to expose the body parts that will be treated with the laser to the sun for one month before the treatment
4. On the day of the treatment the skin must be clean, without make-up, cream, perfume, etc.

Instructions after the treatment:

1. The skin may be slightly red – this usually passes very quickly
2. Exposure to the sun, solariums and self-tanning creams is forbidden during the next month
3. The destroyed hairs will gradually emerge and fall out over the next 3 weeks
4. Between treatments the hair should only be shaved
