Sunekos

What is Sunekos?

Sunekos is a 5th-generation injectable biostimulator that represents a turning point in the natural rejuvenation of the skin and the improvement of its quality.

It consists of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid and 6 carefully selected amino acids that stimulate collagen production at all levels, including the most important one — type IV collagen and type VII collagen.

There are two different products:

  • Sunekos 1200 – non-cross-linked high molecular weight hyaluronic acid plus 6 amino acids.
  • Sunekos Performa – non-cross-linked low molecular weight hyaluronic acid plus 6 amino acids.

The only indicated and approved biostimulator for the forehead area (it treats static wrinkles that cannot be treated with Botox)

An additional advantage of the product is its wide range of application. It can be applied to the whole face, the periocular area, the forehead, neck, décolletage and the backs of the hands.

How does Sunekos work?

Sunekos acts on building the Extracellular Matrix, which stimulates the natural synthesis of collagen, elastin and fibronectin. The amino acid L-Lysine inhibits the activity of hyaluronidase by 40%, thereby prolonging the product’s results. It promotes deep hydration and the renewal of the skin’s hydrolipidic layer and smooths fine lines and wrinkles. It strengthens the skin barrier and has an anti-inflammatory effect, which also reduces transepidermal water loss from the skin. It improves the elasticity and fullness of the skin and evens out skin tone, thereby overall improving skin quality.

What are the effects of Sunekos?

  • Restores tone and elasticity to the skin
  • Reduces age-related wrinkles
  • Radiance and freshness
  • Evens out skin tone
  • Reduces the visibility of hyperpigmentation
  • Deep hydration (no cream or serum can reach the layer that is crucial for the creation of new collagen)
  • Reduces dark under-eye circles
  • Skin regeneration after sun exposure (summer holidays, skiing)

Who is Sunekos intended for?

Sunekos can be recommended to all patients.

It is indicated for both women and men. There is no age limit — from younger age groups who need skin refreshment and hydration, to mature skin for treating wrinkles, elasticity and skin tone, as well as evening out the tone.

Frequently asked questions about Sunekos

Answers to the questions patients most often ask before deciding on a Sunekos treatment at Poliklinika Maletić.

The area where Sunekos will be applied is first  coated with an anaesthetic cream.

After anaesthetising the face or the part of the body where Sunekos will be applied, the area is cleaned with an appropriate disinfectant and the already prepared product is applied into the skin.

The treatment is almost painless — it is applied with a small 32 G mesotherapy needle.

The entire treatment takes about half an hour.

Sunekos protocol:

  • It consists of 3 applications 7 to 10 days apart.
  • In the first treatment Sunekos 1200 and Sunekos Performa are applied, and in the following two treatments only Sunekos Performa is applied.
  • The complete protocol can be finished within one month, which achieves the best cumulative results.
  • Results last on average from 8 months to one year.

The treatment requires no recovery time, and after the treatment the patient can resume their usual activities. Immediately after the treatment, transient redness, mild swelling or a bruise may appear at the injection site. Redness and swelling usually disappear within 24 hours, and the bruise within a few days.

To achieve the best result, it is necessary to choose a clinic staffed by expert physicians who have completed appropriate training and know how to apply the product so that it achieves maximum effectiveness.
