Polynucleotides for the Scalp

Polynucleotides are molecules known for their regenerative properties. Polynucleotides modified for aesthetic use are of natural origin, obtained through a technology that requires a high degree of purification and safety. Polynucleotide molecules intended for use on the scalp are clinically tested compounds that have been shown to increase hair growth by stimulating the follicles. When injected into the scalp, polynucleotides activate stem cells already present in the follicles, which encourages ‘dormant’ follicles to resume the growth phase and thus promote the growth of fuller hair.

What does the treatment look like?

The initial consultation and scalp analysis are important for assessing the condition of the hair and for realistic expectations regarding the results.

The application of polynucleotides can be a standalone treatment or a supplement to other treatments for stimulating hair growth, such as laser hair-growth stimulation. The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis, anaesthesia is not necessary, but if the client wishes, the areas to be treated can be coated with an anaesthetic cream or a local block anaesthesia can be administered. Most often, simply applying vibration at the injection sites is sufficient. After preparation and disinfection of the scalp, the preparation is applied with a fine needle to the desired area.

The entire treatment lasts about half an hour, and the client returns to their daily activities after the procedure.

Repetition of the treatment is individual, but four treatments at intervals of one to two weeks are recommended. If additional treatments are needed, a further four are recommended at intervals of four weeks each.
