With the aim of being away from everyday obligations for as short a time as possible, ablation with a fractional laser is increasingly popular today. In this case, the laser scanner creates specific micro-injuries of a planned depth and spacing, so the peeling occurs as a flaking of the surface layer of the skin.
The procedure is performed after applying an anaesthetic cream and while blowing cold air onto the treatment site. Redness and swelling will be visible on the face, and over the next 2-3 days the surface of the skin will flake off. We perform this treatment using an Erb:YAG laser with a special scanner that moves the laser beam according to a defined programme.
It is not advisable to expose yourself to the sun during the first month.
After the procedure the patient goes home with written instructions on skin care. The treatment is usually performed in late autumn, winter or early spring.
In this way, greater skin firmness is achieved and superficial skin changes are removed.
