PROFHILO

Profhilo is an innovative preparation that deeply moisturizes the skin, restores its tone and elasticity and promotes natural rejuvenation.

It acts as a combination of filler, mesotherapy and skin booster. It has a marked ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production by delivering large amounts of hyaluronic acid into the skin without increasing the volume in the area of application. This process of cell activation at all levels of the skin is called bio-remodelling.

Profhilo is a product with one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market (64 mg/2 ml).

The specific combination of very high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid produces an effect which is not facial volumization in the first place, but the product gradually expands over a period of four weeks, stimulating the formation of new connective tissue (collagen and elastin) and proliferating fat cells while moisturizing the skin. Low-molecular hyaluronic acid has a special effect on the superficial layers of the skin and moisturizes the skin, while the high-molecular hyaluronic acid acts on the skin's supporting structure, resulting in a mild lifting effect and skin tightening. The result is a gradual reduction in visible surface wrinkles with a healthy and radiant complexion in the treated area.

Profhilo is applied to five defined points on each side of the face using the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique. One treatment involves injecting 2 ml of the preparation and two treatments spaced one month apart are required for best results. The effect is visible one to two weeks after the first application, the full effect four weeks after the second application of Profhilo.

Profhilo is intended for people with visible signs of reduced skin quality or signs of ageing and also for younger people desiring to maintain their skin tone and hydration. In addition to the facial area, Profhilo can be used successfully to rejuvenate the neck, décolleté and hands.

Patients can expect increased firmness, elasticity and overall improved skin quality. Maintenance treatment is recommended 6 to 12 months after the second treatment. Profhilo treatment does not require any recovery time and after the treatment the patient can return to her or his normal activities. Redness, slight swelling or bruising may occur at the injection site immediately after the treatment. These mild adverse effect usually disappear within 24 hours, and bruising within a few days.
