Nanofat is a biological preparation made of fatty tissue used for rejuvenating procedures.
Nanofat Grafting is a regenerative fatty tissue grafting technique where small amounts of fatty tissue, previously extracted and processed from a specific region of the body, are injected with fine needles and cannulas into areas where tissue regeneration and repair is needed.
Apart from the face, other body regions can also be treated, e.g., neck, décolleté and hands.
This treatment results in an enhanced skin tonus and quality, reduction of wrinkles and pigmentation, and can also be used to correct scars, burns and improve the appearance of stretch marks.
Nanofat is an extremely safe preparation, is well tolerated, and doesn’t induce allergic reactions in the body. Nanofat treatment is effective in rejuvenation treatments as it is a product rich in stem cells as well as numerous growth factors that stimulate collagen and elastin production and promote skin regeneration. The end result is a long-lasting, natural look. The treatment can also be carried out in combination with other aesthetic procedures, such as facelifts or lipofilling, whose goal is to improve complexion.
The first results of treatment are visible within one to three months, but the full effect manifests in three to six months, following which the results can last for years. Depending on the treatment goals, one treatment is usually enough, but repetition is possible.
Nanofat grafting is mostly performed under local anaesthesia. The treatment begins with the removal of a small amount of fatty tissue from the donor area using special cannulas. The most common donor region for the removal of fat cells is the abdominal wall and the upper leg, both on the inside or outside.
The fatty tissue is then processed down to the smallest particles and is applied to the desired location with very fine cannulas or needles just a few millimetres in size. Slight swelling and bruising are possible after the treatment, its occurrence and intensity depending on the region of the body where treatment is performed. The swelling or bruising usually recedes within a week. We recommend not touching the treated areas for 24 hours.
This method can also be combined with the PRP treatment, whereby a synergic effect of platelet-rich plasma and growth factors from blood and stem cells and growth factors from fatty tissue is achieved. If the procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, the patient can leave immediately after the completion of the procedure. If it takes place under general anaesthesia, the patient must first recover from anaesthesia before being discharged.
