Breast Augmentation

The size and shape of breasts are a part of the physical, sexual, and psychological women indentity. The problem of small and underdeveloped breasts, as well as of uneven breasts as a result of the congenital malformation can be solved successfully by enlargement (that is, augmentation)! They can be enlarged using silicon implants, which is the most common method of breast enlargement, or using saline-filled implants.

Since 2003, when the silicon implant manufacturers started offering lifetime warranties for silicon implants, we have been using only the top quality implants with lifetime warranty!

Pre-operative medical assessment and preparation include the comprehensive testing required by the procedure to be performed under local anaesthesia which we usually use for this type of treatment, and it can also be performed under the so-called tumescent local anaesthesia, if preferred by the patient.

The procedure takes approximately an hour. The approach is the following: the incision is agreed with the patient, and by further examination of the breasts it is determind which is the optimal position of the breast implant in the specific case (under the gland, muscle or the muscle supporting fascia (envelope).

The recovery from the general anaesthesia takes up to 6-8 hours. The patient is required to wear the supportive bra for several weeks following the procedure.

 
Lipofilling – Breast Augmentation Using Fat Transfer

Before deciding to undergo breast augmentation using one's own adipose tissue (fat), it is necessary to perform pre-operative medical evaluation – consultation. The evaluation and consultation on the operative procedure are free of charge, and can be arranged and held in Zagreb and Daruvar.

The medical evaluation will be peformed in order to meet the patient's wishes, and to determine the amount of fat tissue which is necessary to enlarge breasts in order to achieve the desired breast size, as well as the existence of sufficient quantities of fat in potential donor regions.

During the consultation, the data on family history will be collected – such as a family history on breast conditions, and the required breast ultasound, Mammography or Magnetic Resonance (MR) diagnostic exams will be scheduled, if necessary. Following the analysis of the required medical examinations – you will set up your surgery date with your physician. With respect to a partial resorption of the transplanted fat tissue, we always opt for overcorrection. At the checkups scheduled within 3, 6 and 9 months following the procedure, the potential need for additional filling will be identified. In our work, we use the methods and instruments which produce the least damage to fat cells enabling them to survive transplantation in greater percentage – up to 50-60 %. In this way, we have achieved excellent results.
