Transplantation of fat into the scalp

A revolutionary approach to the stimulation of hair growth is the transplantation of the patient’s own fat tissue into the scalp. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. From the donor area, usually the area of the abdomen or another part of the body with excessive fatty tissue, fat tissue is removed with special cannulas about 2 mm in size. The so-treated fat tissue is then injected into the areas of the scalp where the patient loses hair or where the hair is thin or weaker in growth.
 

All of these therapies can slow down and reduce hair loss, although we must stress that a drug that would prevent or heal baldness has still not been invented; therefore, the only effective method is hair transplantation with the FUE method. At the Maletić Polyclinic we maintain an individual approach and develop procedures specifically for each patient. Because we have all the diagnostic and therapeutic methods to prevent hair loss and baldness, we determine the protocol and the most appropriate methods for each patient.
