Laser Keratosis Treatment
Keratoses are skin conditions found in elderly people, as a consequence of the chronic UV-exposed skin. They are usually multiple and distributed on the face, breasts, back and belly.
At the beginning, they are round or oval in shape, rough at touch, of a yellow or brown colour. With time, they become hard, dark-coloured, with the size of between a few milimeters to a few centimeters. It is recommended to remove them while they are small, because they tend to grow in size.
At the Polyclinic, we remove them using the Erbium laser. The procedure is quick and painless. Following the treatment, a scab forms which heals within a few days.
