ISHRS Pro Bono Programme

The International Society for Hair Transplant Surgery (ISHRS) only accepts the best doctors in the world who specialize in hair transplants. Seminars and training courses are organized throughout the year, and in addition, there is a once-a-year scientific congress. The aim of the association is for doctors to present their achievements and share news with their colleagues. It is also a way for patients to distinguish experienced and good doctors from others and thus obtain the desired result – to have their hair grow where it has not grown before.

ISHRS has made a very noble move - its member doctors will transplant hair for free for those people who have lost hair, eyebrows or other body hair as a result of trauma, car accident, fire or medical procedure and who cannot afford a transplant. The only doctor from Croatia who has been accepted into this prestigious world association is Dr Ana Maletić. In line with the ISHRS ethic, in her polyclinics in Zagreb and Daruvar she will transplant hair, eyebrows or other body hair free of charge to those patients to whom the absence of hair has detrimental effect on their appearance and who cannot afford the commercial price of the procedure.
