It's time to celebrate an anniversary ... it's been 20 years. On October 19th, 2017, the Maletić family and their team of nurses celebrated with their business partners and the press their two decades of the Maletić Polyclinic in Daruvar and opening of the new clinic in Zagreb, at the address Medveščak 23/1. Ms. Sanja Vejnović, a celebrated Croatian actress, spoke about her friendship and experiences with the doctors of the Polyclinic. Dr. Ivan Fistonić, who spent his student days with Dr. Duško Maletić at the Medical School shared his memories with the listeners. They were among the pioneers of cosmetic surgery - one of the first cosmetic surgery clinics in Croatia, which was founded 20 years ago by the Maletić spouses in Daruvar. Dr. Duško Maletić is a specialist in surgery and urology and his wife Dr. Ines Maletić is a specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation; they were later joined by their daughter Dr. Ana Maletić, specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. In 2016, a second Polyclinic for cosmetic surgery and laser treatment was opened, this time in the capital city of Zagreb. Just like the Polyclinic in Daruvar, the Zagreb Polyclinic is equipped to the highest standards of aesthetic surgery.
 

With the advancement of science and technology in medicine, the Maletić Polyclinic has been renewing its equipment and introduced innovative surgical methods and treatments. In 2002 Dr. Duško Maletić was the first in Croatia to transplant body fat into the face and body and was the first in Croatia as well, to use botulinum toxin in the armpit region as a treatment against sweating. Since 2003, vibro liposuction was introduced at the Polyclinic in Daruvar - again the first in Croatia. The doctors at the Polyclinic were the first in Croatia to perform the APTOS Feather Lift in 2004. In 2008 they were again the first to apply laser treatment for excessive sweating in the armpit, treatment of varicose veins and spider veins, and introduced laser lipolysis. The Maletić Polyclinic is a leading facial rejuvenation clinic: in 2015, they were the first in Croatia to develop the 4D laser facial rejuvenation - completely painless, without anesthesia and with excellent results for facial skin.
 

In this industry, only those who keep pace with time and progress succeed; That is why doctors at the Maletić Polyclinic regularly attend congresses on aesthetic surgery - all over the world, where they give lectures and introduce colleagues to their results in the Polyclinic. Their experience and the results after laser surgery did not go unnoticed - in 2008, the Maletić Polyclinic was nominated a LAHA (Laser and Health Academy) Education Center, with the task of training foreign doctors in the field of laser-assisted aesthetic surgery. Surgeons from all over the world visit the Polyclinic to spend a few days in Daruvar or Zagreb and observe how procedures including laser lipolysis, laser treatment of excessive sweating in the armpit and varicose veins, laser facial rejuvenation and others in the cosmetic surgery field are performed.

The medical team is constantly researching, evaluating their results and developing new technologies. Dr. Duško Maletić developed a laser method for lifting the jaw line and the Maletić laser rejuvenation method. Their work is widely known. Patients come to the Polyclinic from Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Italy, and this is also a clinic of choice for numerous Croatian celebrities. Among them is Sanja Vejnović, known by many from film & television. Sanja is a wonderful woman, always smiling, who met the Maletić family in 2014 and since then has entrusted the care of her beauty to their hands. Let's not forget that Mrs. Vejnović has been named one of the most beautiful women in the world in the 40+ category... that's what the Americans say and we are bound to agree with them. The tradition of these pioneers in aesthetic surgery continues with the young Dr. Ana Maletić - she runs the Maletić Hair Transplant Center and is the only doctor from Croatia who is a member of the ISHRS - International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
 

Doctors from the Maletić Polyclinic wanted to share their experience with other experts and their patients – that is why they have presented their knowledge and experience in six books on aesthetic surgery. Three editions treat all aesthetic-surgical procedures, while one book was dedicated to aesthetic surgery for men, one speaks of hair transplantation and one is an Atlas of Aesthetic Surgery. The latest book is entitled Aesthetic Surgery and Treatments and has also been translated into English.
